Legion of Mary (English)

(Senior & Junior)

MISSION

The Legion of Mary is the largest apostolic organization of lay people in the Catholic Church, with about 3 million active members in almost every country of the world. Its main purpose is to give glory to God through the sanctification of its members.

We like to believe that members can become instruments of the Holy Spirit through a balanced program of prayer & service in a family atmosphere. Works include visits to parishioners’ homes, the sick, the aged, the newly baptized, some Catholic education and meeting any other spiritual needs of the parish community as these might arise.

Legionaries serve under the guidance of a spiritual director nominated by the Priest.

The Legion of Mary is, in essence, an extension of the heart and hands of the Priest.

“EVER SINCE I JOINED THE LEGION OF MARY, MY LIFE HAS BECOME MORE MEANINGFUL AND I AM TRULY BLESSED TO BE PART OF THIS MINISTRY.”

Joining this ministry has not only helped my faith grow tremendously but also made me a better Catholic in the secular world. When I attended my first meeting as a visitor, I felt an indescribable feeling which I took to mean this was the right ministry for me. Through this community I have met a lot people that have inspired me to spread the love of God and Mother Mary to others. I have also decided to put my life in Mother Mary's hands and trust her much more than before and indeed she has helped me overcome difficulties and supported me in many ways ever since. In a nutshell, my life has become more meaningful and I have been truly blessed to be part of this ministry.
