SPARKLE (Singapore Pinoys Advocating a sense of Renewal, Kindness, and Love through Evangelisation)

We are the Filipino community at the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace. This was established to give Filipinos a sense of belonging and integration to the parish community.

​

The community was formed in response to Archbishop William Goh’s observation that a third of Catholics in Singapore are not local and that there is a need to find ways to attract and integrate them into the local parishes.

​

15 October 2017 marks the establishment of our community at QoP. Every 3rd Sunday of the month, the community gathers for the recitation of the Tagalog Rosary at 1.30pm, followed by the celebration of the Tagalog Mass at 2.00pm. We then have fellowship at the canteen.

​

SPARKLE is continuously welcoming volunteers who are willing to “do small things with great love” by serving in its various ministries, such as Food and Fellowship, Choir, Wardens, Greeters, Lectors, AV, Communion Ministers, and the GEMS Outreach Programme.
