Church Moving Forward to Normalcy
The Multi-Ministry Task Force announced on Thursday 9th Feb 2023 that Singapore will lower the Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (DORSCON) from yellow to green on Monday 13th February 2023.

Following the Government’s direction, the Archdiocese removes all Covid-19 restrictions in our churches from Monday 13th Feb 2023. Nevertheless, all parishes must continue to observe public health guidelines as stipulated by the civil authorities.

Religious workers and parishioners are advised to continue to be socially responsible and maintain good personal hygiene.  Those who are unwell are to be encouraged to stay home. Otherwise, in charity, they should wear a mask to protect those who are vulnerable at church.

Parishes will have to continue to observe Fire Safety Regulations where worshippers are not allowed to stand along the aisles and similar areas in Church. Facilities also have to be made available for those standing outside the church to participate in the Mass actively so that all Catholics can fulfil their Sunday obligation when it is eventually reinstated.

Cardinal William Goh with heartfelt gratitude, thanks the Covid-19 Taskforce Committee and the COVID-19 Pastoral Communications Committee, all Parish Safe Management Officers and Volunteers for their dedicated service to the community over the last three years.  As Covid-19 is now considered endemic, these committees will also be disbanded from Monday 13th Feb 2023.

Issued by the Archbishop’s Communications Office (ArchComms)
