for Christian Meditation
MISSION
To help bring about a more contemplative dimension to the Gospel, for our faith & the parish as a whole.

Contemplation is a rich wisdom tradition of the Catholic Church, handed down by the early desert fathers & mothers of the church. The practice of meditation can lead us to an inner experience of God that is beyond words, thoughts, concepts & images. In short, we leave our prayer of intentions behind to enter into the Prayer of Christ. Now it is not I who prays but that Christ who prays in me.

“EVER SINCE I JOINED THE LEGION OF MARY, MY LIFE HAS BECOME MORE MEANINGFUL AND I AM TRULY BLESSED TO BE PART OF THIS MINISTRY.”
The practice of meditation in the Christian context has opened me to a new experience of the God
Who is present within me. My once external expression of the faith has since become internalised.
I’ve discovered that faith without an inner experience of God is largely moralistic & ritualistic.
With the contemplative practice, I have moved from a small constricted consciousness into
a whole different pathway of perception. The practice of meditation is one good way of cleansing
the lenses of our all too human perception.
